Winter Bulletin and News Round Up

Hi Everyone.

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

Thank you to all those who attended the EGM and AGM meetings via Zoom. Alison sent the minutes out to everyone for your information.

Committee Update

We have two new committee members Alison Hitchcock joins as a utility member and Will Nisbet joins the committee as our social media/press secretary.

Alison brings a wealth of experience gained as a competitor, organiser and volunteer and Will has some great ideas on how to increase the clubs profile on social media.

A big welcome to Alison and Will!

Time Trials

Time Trials was one of the diciplines that did manage to get some racing in during the Covid hit season and Alison Hitchcock has given a superb review of the TT season on our Facebook page highlighting the fantastic performances put in by club members. Read it now on our Facebook page.

The committee would like to reiterate our thanks to Michael, Alison, Ben, Stu, Maggie and all those that help make the TT’s possible.

Nopinz Skinsuits

There is no doubt that Nopinz skinsuits are very well regarded and their popularity highlights them as the one of the best.

Stu is setting up a club account with Nopinz so club members can get these fantastic skin suites in the club legacy colours with no minimum order or special order windows. More to follow, but if you would like more information contact Stu.

Club Rides

Club rides are still suspended. The latest lockdown restrictions can be found here:

https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/article/20201104-about-bc-news-British-Cycling-activities-and-events-to-be-suspended-as-new-national-measures-come-into-force-0

When the lockdown restrictions are lifted we will review the situation and look at the way forward from there.

Meanwhile Rachel has been looking at ideas to keep motivated and have some collective club fun during the restrictions, which she has posted on our Facebook page. Take a look and join in!

And don’t forget the clubs route page where you can choose a route from the many the club regularly use and download it. I am hoping to add more routes over the coming months:
